Smooth Bike Ride - The Mystery?

Last week I reported on my Bike Ride horror story - it was a miserable ride.

This week things went smooth - felt fine. We did not go as far but the ride was really quite enjoyable. What explains such a drastic difference? Maybe it's because I was kinder and gentler this week - polite to the garbage man, friendly to the clerk at the store, gave a generous tip at Chuy's - whatever it was, if I knew what it was, I would keep doing it. Such mystery's are part of the adventure of endurance athletics - why is one day better than another - some days are diamonds and some are just and old chunk of coal. Hope you have a diamond ride, run, swim this week-end!

Thursday Swim at Lake - Weather Permitting
The Thursday evening swim at Lake Conroe is going strong. Join the group at the end of F.M. 830 West - wear a bright colored swim cap and a swim suit would be nice. More Kayaks are needed to make sure everyone stays safe. Meet the group at the boat launch at 6:00 P.M.

Saturday Group Run-

Group Run this Saturday - meet at 6:00 A.M. at Cracker Barrel for the Teaswood Loop - 6.7 miles of pure fun with some challenging hills. If you like humidity, hills, and heavy breathing join us - let me know you are coming and I will have water out just for you.

Monday Run at the Village -
Join the group on Monday evenings for a 5K fun run in Panorama Village at 6:30 P.M. The group meets near the Pool and starts promptly by 6:35. Dress cool - summer temps are here to stay for a while. Join the fun!
